Conflict Resolution



Duration: One Day

The one-day Conflict Resolution course introduces ways to identify, analyze, and manage conflict. Included is an assessment that analyzes the five conflict modes and ascertains which mode the participants are more likely to use when dealing with conflict. Also introduced are human behavioral factors involved in dealing with conflict.



MAJOR COURSE OBJECTIVES
The course is designed to enable participants to:
  • Determine nature and causes of conflict
  • Identify what conflict mode they most often employ
  • Complete an assessment that verifies which conflict mode they most often employ
  • List when it is appropriate to use each conflict mode
  • View and discuss video on Conflict
  • Seek true causes of conflict
  • Evaluate tips for solving conflict
  • Use the points emphasized in the video, to select and role play a work related conflict with a coach and an observer
  • In triads, discuss the conflict and resolution of the role play with class to obtain other possible solutions
  • Discuss why employees don’t do what they are supposed to do


RECOMMENDED FORMAT

A minimum of 12 and a maximum of 25 participants is recommended for this one-day course. This course provides highly interactive, experiential learning for participants and emphasizes ways to identify, analyze, and manage conflict
